This topic comes up more frequently depending on the club you are working at. Some clubs are more strict on allowing female customers in, while some clubs impose zero restrictions. Regardless, there seems to occasionally be a female customer or two that is rude and obnoxious to the dancers. How you decide to deal with it, will determine if you go home with all the money you should be.

When a rude female customer, or even group of them, is in the club, it can be EXTREMELY difficult to not walk over and lay one across the side of her head with your 7″ heel, but you need to realize that won’t win you any more private dances. Customers already know they are being rediculous, and they didn’t come to see you blow up on a girl patron. The male customers came to see you and all the other dancers that are working that night. So, carry on as business as usual as far as making your money.

However, DO say something to your bouncers and to the manager on duty. Do NOT scream at them for letting it go on. They might be oblivious to what’s going on (we know it’s hard to believe but not everyone is a master at observing what’s REALLY going on at the front lines). Rather, let them know that the rude female customers are making it very hard for you AND the other girls to do your jobs, and that it is potentially causing the club to lose money as well. When they hear it phrased in that fashion, they should take a stronger interest in taking care of the problem at hand and either tell the female custies to settle down or escort them out of the club.

After you’ve told the staff of the problem, go back to work. You need to have some of the thickest skin around to even be in this business, and letting a couple or even a few rude customers, regardless of gender, ruin what could have potentially been a great night is unforgivable. Continue doing what you are supposed to do and that’s sell dances. Customers pay for expensive drinks and door fees just to be around you and to have fun with the strippers, not witness a brawl that should be televised on some low life reality show. Be the bigger person overall, it makes you look soo much more appealing to the real customers, and they might buy more dances from you to help them escape the drama on the floor.

Female customers that are out of control need to be handled the same way you should be handling ANY negative influence in your life. Find a way to eliminate it as quickly as possible. Going over to the girl customers yourself will yield very little except for name calling, screaming, and possibly a fight. You’ll get in trouble with management, and the real customers there won’t find you any more attractive then you were before the confrontation, more then likely they’ll stay away from you. INSTEAD, go to the club staff that will rectify the situation ASAP. Never add to a problem, just do what it takes to solve it immediately.

In the end though, we realize there are clubs that let things like this go on all the time. If the club staff where you work does not help your situation out and make it the best work environment for you and the other dancers on a consistent basis, you probably should be looking for a different club to be working at anyway. If you would like to learn more on how to bank every night at work, regardless of the problems that may arise, check out our new e-book package that will teach you how to confront and tackle any issue in the club and still walk home with wads of cash. You can learn more HERE.

Talking to a lot of dancers at work this last weekend made me realize that there are a lot of comunicable diseases that you could catch just from working with girls who don’t take care of themselves. We had a girl quit this last week because her staph infection turned into MRSA. She didn’t treat her staff because she didn’t know what it was. A couple of the other girls also came down with staph, and it’s not hard to figure out where they acquired it. A strip club is one of the dirtiest places in the world. Naked women rubbing on the same pole, stage and couch dance chairs can be unsanitary, and after factoring in the range of clientele that comes through the door every nite, you can only imagine what’s actually floating around in the club.

It can be even worse when the girls you work with are dirty. I worked in a club for a year and a new girl showed up and told me at the end of the week that it had been her third time infected with chlamydia! She had waited a whole week working with us to say something. It was gross to think that any of the girls could have caught it by touching a pole after she touched herself or she went to the bathroom and didin’t wash her hands. You can also get a yeast infection from having an unclean pole touch your vagina.

People are dirty. All I’m saying is buy some hand sanitizer and coat yourself in it. I do that every time I get off stage. I work in a big club though. Forty girls a night on nine poles. All I’m saying is being is be weary, wash your hands, and SANITIZE! It could keep you from catching something, spending money on treating it, and possibly even missing work if it’s really bad. Until next time, stay clean!

Thanks!

Drama. Some people have a lot more of it in their life then others. It seems like every club we’ve been to, there is always some behind the scenes drama going on whether it’s with the dancers, with staff, or with customers and some combination of staff or dancers. It happens. But how you decide to let it affect you will determine whether it influences your money making potential for the night.

If you are at work and some other dancer is on a rampage about something, do you find yourself getting involved? If so, why? Does it help you make more money? More then likely not. In fact we can almost guarantee it takes away from your earnings for several reasons. To start, you are spending more time in the dressing room gossipping instead of out on the floor working. You are getting the dirt on what’s up or you are adding your 2 cents where it more then likely doesn’t belong. For what benefit? Customers don’t care. They came to see you entertain them. And speaking of customers, if the drama is brought out of the dressing room and onto the floor in front of the customers eyes, you now have them getting involved where they most likely don’t want to be. Strippers bitching isn’t sexy. It’s a huge turn off. They will laugh at you and anyone involved and they will distance themselves from the drama. How will you make money then? Thirdly, if you are wrapped up in drama you won’t be concentrating on your job and interacting with the customers and listening to what they want and need. And finally, depending on who the drama is with, you risk the chance of pissing off the club staff and they won’t be sending customers your way anytime soon either, and you could be at risk of losing your job if the drama escalates too much.

Now, because drama is unfolding it doesn’t mean that you have to be involved in it. Most seasoned dancers we’ve worked with know that staying out of the middle of trouble keeps them from losing out on money. You will notice for the most part this phenomenom if you pay attention the next time you work and it’s going down. The best way is to first stay mostly to yourself at work. This doesn’t mean you have to be a bitch at work to your co-workers, be friendly and such, but don’t let other girls drag you into the middle of anything. If they start in on you about what’s going on, be a good listener. You don’t need to offer advice or your opinion on the subject. Their problems will go on whether you are involved or not. Even if it’s one of your friends at work, stay out of it. You can always talk about it after work if there is still a problem.

If the drama involves a club staff member and yourself, you can do a couple things to remedy the situation. Depending on the severity you can go up to them and apologize whether you believe you should or not and ask if they can just forget about what happened. Be sincere in doing so and what you ask. They’ll be more ready to agree and move on with life. If it’s a irreconcilable difference, drop it on your own and avoid any more confrontation with the staff member. If it involves a customer or money, avoid dealing with that staff member about either one. If they are the only staff member on duty, be sure and mention it to the manager of the club at the next available opportunity and do so in a calm and collect manner. He or she will respect you for doing so and will more then likely happily listen to your side of the story.

The main thing is, distance yourself from trouble at work. It doesn’t help you. It won’t make you more money. And most dancers don’t need anything that will hinder their performance at work.

Do you have a story about how you avoid conflict at the club? Share them here!
