When you go up on stage, the dj will announce your name and likely who follows you, along with the nights special and blah, blah, blah.  But during the time he is announcing your name, he has the ability to talk you up quite a great deal with only a few words.  And he knows how do it, very well.  Going up to him a couple songs before hand and tipping him a $5 or something, and asking him to spice up your intro a little, will work wonders for your stage set.  Having him announce you in a completely different fashion from the other girls will set you apart, and customers will remember you.  They will also be intrigued by what you possibly have to offer that the dj would make a point to say something out of the ordinary about you.  Just try it a couple times and see if it makes a difference for you.

Also, cocking off to the dj or being a bitch to him will NOT get you anywhere.  Yes we understand that some dj’s out there can be out for other things then making money, but making an enemy with the dj can lead to curt intro’s and him playing you some screwed up song sets.  In general, it’s best to get along great with all of the employees as they are there to help you make money just as you are there to help them in some fashion or another.

The first reason why this girl doesn’t ever make any money is because of her general demeanor.  Looking pissed off or like you really do NOT want to be there comes through in your facial expressions.  Guys are in a sense spending their money on an experience, and who in their right mind would want the experience of getting a dance from a disgruntled stripper?  If you answered, “Nobody” then you understand why you can’t ever do this at work.  You must ALWAYS give the appearance that you are happy, in a good mood, and generally excited about being there.  While this is likely far from the truth sometimes, you still must make it LOOK that way to everyone.

The second reason why she doesn’t make any money is because even if she was sitting by herself with a great big smile on her face, she’s not doing anything.  Guys might see 5 other girls going around working the tables and going back to the private dance rooms.  They see other people’s experience in action and can judge who or what they want from what’s in front of their face.  The girl who is in high demand must be for a reason.  The girl who is off by herself must have something wrong with her, so they rule her out. 

You can now see why this is so counter productive to sit by yourself or to not go and work the floor.  Success breeds more success.  And doing nothing will yield you exactly that.

Think of the things you own right now.  Your car, your furniture, maybe even your house?  But does any of that stuff make money for you?  That’s the question you need to continually ask yourself when you make a purchase.  The more you do that, the less crap you’ll buy that you don’t need.  Now, what is your passion?  Think about it long and hard, then think of how you can make money from it.  That’s the great thing about this country.  Everything is out there waiting to be monetized by those smart enough to do it. 

Now if you don’t have the creative knack to start your own business, you still have opportunities.  Investing in the stock market, real estate with a little help from a professional, or even an alternative lending/saving service like Prosper.com where you can actually borrow money to other members on the site and earn a very nice return for yourself.  It doesn’t matter really what you do, only that you are getting the best return on your money that your intelligence and your capabilites allow for you to be comfortable and be able to sleep well at night.  If you are too stressed out that your investment is going to disappear very soon, you need to do something else.

Remember that new bra’s and panties from Victoria’s secret is not soemthing that’s going to be making you money while it’s sitting in your dresser drawer.  Those $300 Coach heels aren’t doing anything for you sitting in your closet.  But the money you invest and make a return on, that’s the path to being different from everyone else around you.  Make your money.  Then let your money make you rich.
