This topic comes up more frequently depending on the club you are working at. Some clubs are more strict on allowing female customers in, while some clubs impose zero restrictions. Regardless, there seems to occasionally be a female customer or two that is rude and obnoxious to the dancers. How you decide to deal with it, will determine if you go home with all the money you should be.

When a rude female customer, or even group of them, is in the club, it can be EXTREMELY difficult to not walk over and lay one across the side of her head with your 7″ heel, but you need to realize that won’t win you any more private dances. Customers already know they are being rediculous, and they didn’t come to see you blow up on a girl patron. The male customers came to see you and all the other dancers that are working that night. So, carry on as business as usual as far as making your money.

However, DO say something to your bouncers and to the manager on duty. Do NOT scream at them for letting it go on. They might be oblivious to what’s going on (we know it’s hard to believe but not everyone is a master at observing what’s REALLY going on at the front lines). Rather, let them know that the rude female customers are making it very hard for you AND the other girls to do your jobs, and that it is potentially causing the club to lose money as well. When they hear it phrased in that fashion, they should take a stronger interest in taking care of the problem at hand and either tell the female custies to settle down or escort them out of the club.

After you’ve told the staff of the problem, go back to work. You need to have some of the thickest skin around to even be in this business, and letting a couple or even a few rude customers, regardless of gender, ruin what could have potentially been a great night is unforgivable. Continue doing what you are supposed to do and that’s sell dances. Customers pay for expensive drinks and door fees just to be around you and to have fun with the strippers, not witness a brawl that should be televised on some low life reality show. Be the bigger person overall, it makes you look soo much more appealing to the real customers, and they might buy more dances from you to help them escape the drama on the floor.

Female customers that are out of control need to be handled the same way you should be handling ANY negative influence in your life. Find a way to eliminate it as quickly as possible. Going over to the girl customers yourself will yield very little except for name calling, screaming, and possibly a fight. You’ll get in trouble with management, and the real customers there won’t find you any more attractive then you were before the confrontation, more then likely they’ll stay away from you. INSTEAD, go to the club staff that will rectify the situation ASAP. Never add to a problem, just do what it takes to solve it immediately.

In the end though, we realize there are clubs that let things like this go on all the time. If the club staff where you work does not help your situation out and make it the best work environment for you and the other dancers on a consistent basis, you probably should be looking for a different club to be working at anyway. If you would like to learn more on how to bank every night at work, regardless of the problems that may arise, check out our new e-book package that will teach you how to confront and tackle any issue in the club and still walk home with wads of cash. You can learn more HERE.

2008 was an interesting year for everyone. The housing and financial markets imploded, the first black president was elected in the United States, gas prices plummeted from their high, the first “pregnant man”, and JoshAndChandra.com went live to help all Exotic Dancers make money. While some of these things are irrelevant, we think we mentioned the best last (ok gas being less then half of what it was is freakin amazing). So to commemorate JoshAndChandra’s first year in existance, we are going to list the top 10 most read posts here on our blog. We hope you enjoy them the second time around as much as you did the first time you read them.

10. Excerpt from “How to Make Money at the Gentlemen’s Club” – Part 3 -

Yesterday we took a look at a bit of Chapter 6 in section 2 titled, “How to Lead the Customer to a Sale”. Today we look at a portion of Chapter 1 Section 3, “Saving Your Money”.

Do you find that you are short money all the time even though you go home with lots of it every night after work? Do you struggle to pay your bills on time because you don’t have enough saved at the time? If so you are not alone in this country. Most households in America struggle to keep up with their obligations. They either borrow too much or they have a serious problem saving what they make. This section will cover how you can learn to save at least some of what you make. To Read More Click Here…

9. How to Get Started in Exotic Dancing -

There are MANY things you will need and must prepare for before beginning a career in exotic dancing. The first at foremost thing to consider is if this is what you want to do for a career choice. It can be a very expensive one for you, if you do not take into consideration what goes into dancing. Dancers clothes and shoes are not cheap, and if you do not buy good quality items, you will be replacing them more often then you should. But before we go more in depth in that area, stop by a local club or two that you’ve heard good things about, and see what takes place there. To Read More Click Here…

8. The single biggest thing standing between you and success in Stripping is… -

Do you ever wonder what stands in the way of you and success at work. There are other girls at work that make it seem so easy and get tons of dances with customers. They consistantly go home with large sums of cash all the time. What’s stopping you from going home everynite with buckets of money? The answer is YOU.

At the end of the day, you are the only thing standing between you and success. Success and winning is an attitudeSuccess isn’t measured in money, power, or cars. Success is a frame of mind, so much that if you think about this scenario you’ll understand why. To Read More Click Here…

7. Exotic Dancer E-BOOKS! -

JoshAndChandra.com now has two e-book resources for helping Exotic Dancers in their profession. Our first e-book is titled “How to Make More Money in the Gentlemen’s Club” and the second one is titled the “The Successful Stripper.” Both e-books cover completely different material as far as how to make money approach customers, be a top earner, and ultimately how to manage your incomeNow for the first time ever, you can own both of these e-books for the price of one!

When you order “The Successful Stripper,” you will also receive a free copy of “How to Make More Money in the Gentlemen’s Club.” To Read More Click Here…

6. Excert From Our Hot Selling E-Book “How to Make Money at the Gentlemen’s Club!” – Part 1

This week only, we are running brief excerts from our E-Book titled “How to Make Money at the Gentlemen’s Club.” Also this week we will be offering the for only $19.97, a savings of over $30 from the full retail price. Thi offer ends Saturday, April 19 at midnite. If you like what you read, please consider ordering the entire book as it is packed full of knowledge that can benefit the dancer just starting or the 10 year vet looking to make even more bank. But enough of that, here’s a brief portion of chapter 3, “Reasons Customers Choose Certain Girls”

1. Attraction. Attraction comes from many factors. Skin color, Hair color, hair length, Height, Weight, Clothing. About as many factors that are unchangeable at any given moment, there are those things that are changeable. What you wear, how you do your hair, makeup, and how you smell, are all things that influence those around you and are things you decide on. To Read More Click Here…

5. One of the Biggest Money Makers for Any Dancer, Including You -

Paging thru a recent magazine, I was reminded of a great sales technique that fits in perfectly with the dancing profession. It’s something that anyone from the Veteran dancer to the girl who just tried on her first pair of stilleto’s can incorporate. And unlike a new costume or a new fragrance, it won’t cost you a dime. Here’s what it is.

First, think about what all the great money makers in this profession have posessed that you’ve ever come into contact with. If you’re coming up blank, I’ll help you out. To Read More Click Here…

4. Making Money as an Exotic Dancer During a Recession -

Times are tough out there right now for everyone. The stock markets in the toilet, unemployment is the highest it’s been in years, and there are less customers walking thru the doors of the clubs. But that doesn’t mean there still isn’t money to be made being a dancer. Our ebook “How to Make More Money at the Gentlemen’s Club” is just what you need to boost your earning potential even during tough times. Click the link to read more and start making what you never thought was possible.

3. Top 10 Mistakes All Strippers Make -

There are certain things all dancers do wrong, whether it is only one from this list or many, it can impact how much you make a nite, or over the course of the week. If you can eliminate all of these things on this list, you will be ahead of your peers, and will be on your way to making more money.

1. Thinking every girl is going to be your friend. In this business you learn that the only person you can trust 100% is yourself. If everyone thinks you are ignorant and trusting, they will take advantage of you and take everything they can from you. To Read More Click Here…

2. 5 Habits of Highly Successful Exotic Dancers -

Here are 5 qualities that are ALL shared by successful dancers. If you can incorporate these habits into your lifestyle and work ethic, you will be joining the elite of the elite. Your income will increase dramatically. And your perspective about life itself will change. It will take a bit of work to integrate these traits into your life but you will be well rewarded by doing so.

1. Be Proactive! Being proactive is one of two responses to any given situation. You can be proactive or reactive. To Read More Click Here…

And the #1 post is:

How to Be a Successful Stripper or Exotic Dancer

With this first post we are going to analyze what it takes to not only just be an exotic dancer but a very successful one at that. There are many things that aren’t apparant for most when they start in this business and many girls who have been dancing for years still are missing out on making even more money by not fully looking at all the elements it takes to be the best they can be. We are going to cover everything we can, day by day, because this isn’t something learned in one sitting. It takes practice, patience, studying (others) and learning from someone who’s successfully mastered this business for years. To Read More Click Here…

And that’s the top 10 most viewed posts on JoshAndChandra.com for 2008. We hope you have learned a lot from our site and hope you have been equally profitable from doing so. We wish you prosperous 2009 and hope you continue to visit us for even more knowledge on how you can be the Elite Dancer we know you can be!

After you have set your budget that you created above, you will have an idea of what you have to set aside and when. Now after work each night, set aside a certain amount for your bills, in their own marked envelope that designates what the money is going for. This will eliminate you being short when it comes time to pay that particular item. After you have met your weekly obligations, you should then set aside some money that you intend to save. If you don’t currently have a savings account at a local bank you are comfortable with, open one. Before you go to work everyday deposit 25% of what you have extra for yourself to spend that hasn’t been earmarked for bills. Your savings account will grow quickly and you will be pleased with your self when you see what you’ve saved on your own.

Again this is only a hint of the wealth of information our 27 chapter e-book covers. You won’t be left wondering what you should be doing the next time you go to work at the club.

About the Authors: We are two people who have worked in this industry for over 10 years combined. We know what it takes to be successful in this business and will help you either get started in this field or give your career a jump start on how to make even more then what you are now. Josh has worked in a Gentlemen’s Club setting for over 7 years doing many of the jobs that are necessary including bouncing, bartending and managing. He now successfully owns and operates his own club in the midwest. Chandra has danced for 3 years and accumulated more knowledge then most girls do in 15 years of dancing. She regularily brought home $400 on the slowest nights, and over $1200 on some of her best nights working in small clubs where she thrived the most. She averaged in between those two numbers working in bigger clubs in the city, where competition was a bit more prevalent. If you would like to order a copy now, please CLICK HERE!

Yesterday we took a look at a bit of Chapter 3, “Why Customers Choose Certain Girls”. Today we look at a portion of Chapter 6, “How to Lead the Customer to a Sale”.

After you have made your introduction to a prospective customer and have built a certain level of trust, you now must focus on guiding the customer to spending their hard earned money. Depending on the level of trust built, you can offer to take them into the private room to talk more while you dance for them. Make it feel like you want to do this for them, not that you are just after their money. This requires some tact, and you must utilize your communication skills, focusing on their reactions, their facial expressions, and what they are plainly speaking to you. Always be persuasive and convincing. Make them believe that YOU WANT to dance for THEM, not just dancing FOR them. There is a difference. You have to make them feel important and special. If you haven’t noticed by now, this is something that is repeated over and over in the E-Book. You have to make them think that you want to be sexy for them, that YOU want to turn them on, that YOU are the right one to fulfill their fantasy for the night. Asking them to spend $20 to $150 for a private dance in the couch room or VIP room won’t make them feel special. They’ll wonder what they’ll be getting for their money. Let them know that before hand. Not by describing exactly what you do in the private room, but by letting them know that they will continue to have your full attention, that you want somewhere more private to dance for them and to talk. That you will make them feel special in not so many words. Always be sexy and always give the customer the attention they want.

Again this is only a hint of the wealth of information our 27 chapter e-book covers. You won’t be left wondering what you should be doing the next time you go to work at the club. Tomorrow we will look at what things you should be doing to plan for your future with your income from dancing.

This week only, we are running brief excerts from our E-Book titled “Hot to Make Money at the Gentlemen’s Club.” Also this week we will be offering the ebook for only $19.97, a savings of over $30 from the full retail price.

It is up to you to make sure everything is flawless. Too much makeup, bad perfume, oily hair or skin, any one of these things can destroy attraction once the customer gets close to you and ruin any chance of making lots of money off of them.

2. Personality/Attitude. This is one of the main reasons customers will keep coming back over and over again to spend their money on the same dancer. Your personality and attitude towards the customer will either make them feel comfortable with you, or you will turn them off, and look else where for satisfaction. Also your attitude about work itself will show and the customer will know if you really want to be at work or if you are only going through the motions.

3. Listening. Girls who make a lot of money at work are not the loud boisterous ones, but the ones who are able to listen to the customer and not only carry a conversation with them, but also listen what they want from the girls, or life, and think of ways to accommodate them. Listening is paramount to having a customer feel like they are important and will have them coming back to the same girl over and over.

5. Approachable/Appearance. This has to do partly with the girl’s attitude, but there is more to it then that. If a guy feels like that a girl is unapproachable because she is a bitch, or in a bad mood that night, he will avoid her and any negative confrontation with her. He might receive the same treatment at home, why would he pay money to have it on his night out? The girls who are always smiling and happy, not obnoxious, are far more attractive and make much more money then the lonely stripper sulking at the bar because she isn’t making any money.

Alot of dancers you see that travel by themselves have dogs. Why? Some girls have dogs for protection, others for companionship. I myself had a dog that was a great companion. Being on the road by myself all the time was lonely and kind of made me stir-crazy. I will admit, when I first got my dog, it was alot of work to get her to understand the rules of the hotels and the car. She had more than one accident. If you put the time and the effort into helping them understand want you want from them, they can help you with your needs too. They will become your best friend and someone you can count on to make you smile. If you have issues with safety, I would say that you should get a big dog because bigger dogs are scarier than small breeds. With a doberman pinscher in your car, there aren’t alot of people that are going to try and steal your stuff. If you’re looking for a road companion, I would say get a small breed because they are easier to clean up after and usually have great personalities.

Got a tattoo? Maybe you want a tattoo, or have 3 and are already planning your next 6 tats. Everyone has their own opinion on the subject and some may prefer not to mark their body, but in this profession of Exotic Dancing, the majority of girls dancing have at least one tat. Does this affect your earning potential? Is it possible to have too many tattoos in this line of work? Let’s examine this topic briefly.

The girl with no tattoos. This girl may have an innocent or natural look to her. Some gentlemen or customers may find this attractive as she appears “untouched.” Whether this is true in other senses is another topic, but appearances are a big part of this business, and some men might have this ideal in their fantasy woman.

The girl with only one tattoo or a lower back tattoo. Any more everyone and their pet hamster have a lower back tattoo, it’s become a bit overdone and the movie “Wedding Crashers” may have summed it up best about girls with lower back tats. However, girls with only one tat, even the lower back, has become about as universally accepted in today’s American society and even the older generation has come to expect seeing it on the younger crowd today. Some tattoos are obviously more subtle then others, but having one tattoo done tastefully shouldn’t leave you too far out of the realm of the girl in the first class, not quite untouched, but someone maybe with a bit of a wild side.

Girls with multiple tattoos, sleeves, or full back, side tattoos. Girls who choose to decorate entire limbs or torso with ink definately lose that “innocence” that the other girls may possess by not being all colored up, however, with popular television shows documenting folks getting tattoos and the lives of the artists creating them, it has become a sort of cult following to find others with interesting art work on their body. You may gain a few serious regulars and more then a few infatuated customers that want to know the stories behind the tattoos, and in turn want to know more about you as a person. Some will find it a complete turn off, but just as a girls hair color, weight, facial features, and even skin color/tone influence what a customer may define as attractive, so will ink.

In all reality, the more tattoos a dancer has, the more likely it will begin to hurt her earnings potential. This isn’t to say the girl still won’t be able to bring in some serious money, like anyone else, but it is poosible she will lose a certain type of customer who doesn’t find lots of tattooes sexy or appealing. It’s one thing to just keep in mind the next time you feel the itch to get tattooed on again.

Josh and Chandra

What do you believe about Dancers with lots of tattoos? Good or Bad? Does it Matter? Let us know what you think!

Dancers have a meaningful relationship? some people imagine this as impossible, and many dancers are basically single, but there are those who are married and who have been with the same person for a number of years. Having a meaningful relationship with someone outside this business can be very difficult. emotions and jealousy can run high and usually end up destroying the bond the two shared early in the courtship.

Understanding the emotions from both sides is paramount if there is any chance for the relationship to survive. we’ll outline the reasoning and thought process from the dancers perspective and the other person here now.

The Partners Perspective
If the partner was a customer at one point, he or she may have had some initial fatuation or attraction to the dancer, whether it was physical or on a personal level. They don’t always think ahead of what having a meaningful relationship may entail. The emotional aspect at first can keep things hot and heavy, where the strong desire to just spend time together and get to know each other over rides the feelings that will soon come. If the partner comes into work, he or she may soon develop feelings of jealousy over the different parts of the dancers job. MANY different people will come in and the dancer puts herself into very close situations, wearing very little if anything. The dancers body is on display for everyone, and the partner may feel like that the dancer is never really “just their own.” They have to share the dancer in a sense with the world, because their naked body is on display all the time. This jealousy can be disastrous if not dealt with positively.

Another part of the dancers life is her regulars. They may buy her gifts or shower her with A LOT of cash. The partner may have feelings of inadequacy to contribute to the relationship financially as the dancer may possibly be making way more then the partner. These feelings of inadequacy can lead to other emotions, distrust of what she is doing with her regulars, resentment that they make so much more, feeling like they are never equals because of the financial difference. If the dancer has given her phone number out to customers, it can be even 10x worse as she will be receiving calls at all times of the day; having her regulars asking her to dinners, for dates, etc. The feeling of distrust grows exponentialy and it usually is more then most can handle.

Another aspect is the hours many dancers work. They go to work late and come home even later. If the partner has a regular day job, they may be hard pressed to find meaningful couple time together. One or the others job may suffer because of the two staying up too late or skipping work to spend time with each other. Dating or living with a dancer can be very taxing. And if you add all of the feelings associated with doing so just listed, it’s no wonder many dancers don’t have very long relationships.

The dancer’s perspective
The dancer’s job is her livlihood. She may not have time to always go out and meet new people outside of work. If she does, the stigma of being a stripper usually intrigues a few at first, but their intentions of having a meaningful relationship with her are minimal at best. If she meets a customer she finds intriguing, she may pursue the person until a relationship develops. If the partner develops the feelings outlined above, she may distance herself a bit because this is what she was doing for a job when the two met. The partner knows this, but they also know that is how they met and may worry she will find someone else better next week at work. If the partner asks the dancer to quit their job, this leads usually to one of two things. First a huge fight about the conflict of interests of her working as a dancer. Next the partner will either agree with it for a bit longer if the girl decides to keep working as a stripper, or she will quit dancing for her new love. This may seem reasonable at first glance, but what happens shortly later isn’t. Resentment from the one giving the concessions will build and build until the relationship itself nears critical conditions. Unless something miraculous happens, the relationship will end there.

The dancer while in a relationship will also be constantly bombarded with interest from adoring customers. She has a potentially large pool of possible suitors always at her feet. If she is with someone, she must constantly be drawing the line of what borders on being faithful, what keeps their partner happy, and what they must live with if they make a mistake. In actuallity, dancers are not much different then the general population as far as having someone being interested in you. Either at work, a hobby or past time, or even the internet, people are lusting after someone else. It is just much more front and center for a dancer. She must make the same decisions everyone faces everyday that is in a committed relationship. Should they be faithful, and what exactly defines being faithful? This can be debated very widely and liberally. But it should be something the couple agrees upon what is acceptable between the two. Obviously anything the one thinks would hurt themselves if the other did it, should be enough for them to understand that it would hurt the other person. People can be selfish and uncaring at times in a relationship when it involves personal gratification, and they may think the other won’t find out, but it’s still not fair. And the person doing the wrong has to live with it if they have any conscience at all.

It all comes down to whether the dancer has strong morals or if they worry only about themselves. The main thing is if they want the relationship to successfully work, they have to understand the partners perspective, and the same goes for the partner. They must realize it is a job, not like many others, but it is still a job. Trust can be difficult to attain, especially in the early parts of the relationship, but it will grow if both partners intend to work any issues or difficulties that arise.

The relationship outlined above is much like any other relationship. Communication of what both partners want and expect, trust, and the ability to comprimise on some issues is paramount to the survival of the commitment.
